The surface is densely articulated with floral and geometric ornament, beaded borders and raised decorative details continuing around the figure. The exposed areas of the face, arms and legs are comparatively smooth, providing a marked contrast with the richly worked costume.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eIconography\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003ePhra Ram is the Thai interpretation of Rama, associated with duty, courage, justice and royal authority.
