Maurice Stoppani (1921–2012) – Classical Female Nude
This original graphite work by the French artist Maurice Stoppani is a beautiful example of academic perfection. As a drawing teacher in Lyon and a renowned painter, Stoppani mastered the art of capturing the essence of the human figure with a single line.
Refined Linework from 1986
Drawn in 1986, this work depicts a young female nude in profile. The drawing stands out for its simplicity and elegance; the master's steady hand is visible in the flowing contours and subtle anatomical details. The work exudes a classical calm and serenity characteristic of Stoppani's nude studies.
Provenance and Authenticity
This unique piece originates from the artist's studio fund, which irrefutably confirms its provenance. The work is hand-signed and dated in the lower left corner. A rare opportunity to acquire an original study by a craftsman who dedicated his life to the art of drawing.
