Thai Bronze Temple Guardians – Thepanom Set with Gilding
Beautiful pair of kneeling temple guardians in traditional Thai style, crafted in solid bronze with remnants of gilding and a natural patina. These Thepanom figures display the classic prayer posture (anjali mudra) and radiate peace, balance, and devotion. Due to their posture and rich detailing in the crown and robe, the statues possess a strong visual presence, both together and individually. The combination of gold tones and green oxidation gives the surface a weathered and authentic appearance. The wear and patina have developed naturally and enhance the character of the whole. The statues are handcrafted using traditional techniques and align with temple art as it has been made in Southeast Asia for generations. Due to the difference in size and patina, the statues form a lively and harmonious pair. Perfectly suited as a decorative statement or as a spiritual object in an interior where character and presence are important.
