This is an authentic Dento Kokeshi from the traditional Togatta lineage, crafted by the esteemed master artisan Akira Sato (1934–2003). This specific piece is a particularly historic item, hand-signed and precisely dated April 21, 1983, making it a highly sought-after object for the serious collector.

The design showcases the classic and powerful Togatta characteristics: the iconic red radiating halo motif (Tehen) on the head, combined with refined, expressive facial features. The cylindrical body is richly decorated on all sides with stacked red chrysanthemums (Kiku) and green leaves, accented by a decorative purple-red banding. On the underside is the master's crisp, handwritten signature and dating.
