Large Bronze Budai with Children – Symbol of Happiness & Abundance
This monumental bronze Budai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, is an impressive symbol of joy, wealth, and good fortune. With arms raised high and a broad smile, this statue radiates an irresistible positive energy. The statue is crafted from heavy bronze (8.8 kg) and features a beautiful warm brown to golden patina.
Unique Iconography: Climbing Children
A special feature of this piece is the charming child figures climbing up the sides of the Budai. In Chinese tradition, these children symbolize the blessing of a large family, fertility, and the innocent joy of life. The robes of the Budai are richly decorated with detailed patterns and chains, attesting to high-quality casting.
Statement Piece for the Interior
At a height of 46 cm, this statue is a true eye-catcher. It is perfectly suited as a focal point in a hallway, living room, or meditation room. The natural variations in the patina and the casting process give the sculpture an authentic and weathered character, making each piece unique.
