Bring Prosperity Home with the Goddess Lakshmi
This refined, solid bronze statue of Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, happiness, and beauty, is a beautiful example of mid-20th-century Indian craftsmanship. Unlike the more common dark bronzes, this example has a stunning warm golden patina that shines beautifully in any interior.
Authenticity and Character
This is not a modern reproduction. The visible, soft wear on the hands and knees bears witness to decades of ritual use (puja). At 600 grams, the statue feels exceptionally heavy and solid for its compact height of 11 cm—a direct sign of high-quality bronze with a high copper content. Symbolicism of Lakshmi Lakshmi symbolizes both material and spiritual abundance. She sits on a lotus flower (padma), which represents spiritual power and purity. In Indian tradition, she is revered for bringing harmony and success to the household.
