Standing wooden statue of Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara), the Buddhist bodhisattva of compassion. The statue is hand-carved from solid wood and shows remnants of original gold leaf gilding on the shawl and decorative details. The serene facial expression, flowing robe lines, and protective hand gesture suggest a traditional Chinese devotional statue. The natural wear and patina are consistent with long-term use on a home altar or in a temple setting. Dating: Qing dynasty, 18th to early 19th century. Dimensions: H 45.5 x W 17 cm.
