This bronze Buddha statue has been examined through visual inspection, macro photography, and analysis of surface and construction. The statue is hollow-cast in a copper alloy (bronze) and shows pronounced signs of prolonged natural aging, including mineral corrosion, soil deposits, and structural perforations consistent with prolonged exposure to damp soil conditions.


The modeling and posture align with Burmese sculptural traditions, featuring a seated Buddha in a meditation posture. The right hand is raised in a protective gesture (abhaya-mudra), while the left hand rests in a meditation position (dhyana-mudra). The simple ushnisha, compact hair structure, and calm facial expression suggest a functional ritual image rather than a court piece.


The corrosion is deep and continuous, including in fracture and cavity zones, indicating natural metal aging over a long period. no modern fillers, welds, or recent restorations were found. The visible damage and perforations are structurally old and form part of the historical state of the object.


A later inscription on the underside possibly indicates reuse or recontextualization in a later period, which is more common with older temple statues. This addition influences the historical interpretation but does not detract from the age and authenticity of the statue itself.
