Trial Period & Right of Withdrawal
At 1stbuddha, we offer a trial period of 14 days after receipt of your purchase. Within this period, you can notify us by email that you wish to cancel the purchase. After this notification, you have another 14 days to physically return the item to our Dutch depot.
Condition & Depreciation
Our collection consists of unique, second-hand, and often antique objects. We invite you to assess the item as you would in a physical gallery. Use or handling that goes beyond what is necessary to ascertain the nature and characteristics of the item may lead to a depreciation in value for which the buyer is liable.
Guidelines for Returns
Costs: The costs for return shipping are at the buyer's expense. For large, heavy, or extremely fragile items, these costs can be substantial. Any additional shipping options chosen at the time of purchase (such as express or pallet transport) will be reimbursed upon return up to the standard shipping rate.
Packaging: Due to the fragile nature of our artworks, returns must be carefully and professionally packaged. Damage resulting from insufficient packaging during return shipping may be charged to the buyer.
Protocol for Damage
If an item arrives damaged or significantly deviates from the description, please contact us immediately. In such cases, we will provide a suitable solution and cover the shipping costs.
To protect both the buyer and the gallery, all items are carefully documented and photographed by our team before shipment, ensuring that returns can be handled transparently and fairly.
