Authentic Wax Seal
The presence of the authentic wax seal on the back of the canvas is a crucial feature for the collector. Historically, such seals were placed by monastic authorities or as proof of export expertise, confirming the careful provenance of this Thangka. The seal, combined with the natural oxidation of the mineral pigments, places this object in the first half of the 20th century. This underscores the character of authentic older Asian craftsmanship.
Cosmic Mandala
