This piece dates from the mid to late Showa period and represents the refined craftsmanship for which this lineage is internationally valued.

Togatta Tradition

The Togatta school is among the oldest and most influential Dento Kokeshi traditions in Japan. The elegant cylindrical shape, refined facial expression, and floral decorations characterize this historical style, which has been passed down from master to apprentice for generations.
