A powerful and authentic Buddha statue from the Sino-Tibetan tradition, crafted in bronze and depicted in the Bhumisparsha mudra – the moment when the Buddha calls upon the earth as a witness to his enlightenment. This gesture symbolizes inner strength, determination, and spiritual victory.
The statue is traditionally cast using the lost-wax technique, a traditional craft method clearly visible in the open base and the irregular internal structure. The natural patina with dark and green oxidation gives the whole a weathered appearance that only develops through age and use.
The form is calm and balanced, with an understated appearance typical of Sino-Tibetan workshops from the early 20th century. No excessive decoration, but rather a pure and powerful presence, making the sculpture fit perfectly in both a modern interior and a spiritual space.
This is an honest, good old piece with character – not mass-produced, but handmade and with visible traces of craftsmanship.
