This is a Nepalese Buddhist thangka featuring a mandala image, intended for meditation, focus, and protection. The mandala was used as a visual aid to organize the mind and bring inner peace, not as a decorative object but as a daily spiritual instrument.

The cloth shows clear signs of use: softened pigments, wear in the paint, and a worn textile texture. On the reverse side, there are two Nepalese export stamps and remnants of a wax seal, confirming that the work was produced before the 1970s and was legally exported at the time. This points to an authentic, widely used devotional object.
