Expertise & Authenticity Features
This statue bears witness to solid Thai craftsmanship and was cast using the traditional lost-wax method. On the inside of the base, the rough, mineral casting core is still clearly present, which is essential for stability and the considerable weight of 8 kg. The finish displays fine manual details; on the edges of the base, subtle file marks reveal the bright, gold-colored bronze alloy beneath the deep patina. The object is in excellent condition without modern restorations.

Bhumisparsha Mudra – The Victory over Temptation
The Buddha is depicted in the Bhumisparsha mudra, also known as the 'Earth Witness' posture. In this posture, the right hand reaches out to the earth to call upon it as a witness to his steadfastness and enlightenment. The Buddha is dressed in the Royal Attire of the Ayutthaya tradition, which represents spiritual power and sovereignty. Due to its weight and size, this is an ideal centerpiece for an altar or as a resting point in a classic interior.
