Expertise & Authenticity Features

This statue displays superior craftsmanship with a serene facial expression and finely engraved edges on the robe. As documented in Ming-Style Gilt Bronze Buddha Statue 212 10 Medium.jpeg, the statue features a closed base plate on the underside with deep, authentic oxidation. In the deeper parts of the base, clear mineral crystallization (natural salt deposition) is visible, which is an irrefutable sign of a decades-long aging process. On the reverse side is the apocryphal inscription “Manufactured during the Yongle period of the Great Ming,” applied as a traditional tribute to Ming craftsmanship.

Symbolism & Posted by 1stBuddha

Bhumisparsha Mudra – The Invocation of the Earth

The Buddha is seated in the Bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture of the earth witness, which symbolizes the victory over negativity and the attainment of enlightenment. The warm glow of the fire gilding and the solid 6.4 kg of bronze make this a powerful Feng Shui element that radiates spiritual authority and tranquility. A collectible piece that bridges the gap between Ming aesthetics and the craftsmanship of the early 20th century.
