This statue displays superior craftsmanship with a serene facial expression and finely engraved edges on the robe. In the deeper parts of the base, clear mineral crystallization (natural salt deposition) is visible, which is an irrefutable sign of a decades-long aging process. On the reverse side is the apocryphal inscription “Manufactured during the Yongle period of the Great Ming,” applied as a traditional tribute to Ming craftsmanship.
