Seated four-armed Buddhist sculpture of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), crafted in gilded bronze. The sculpture depicts the bodhisattva seated in the vajra posture on a richly decorated double lotus base. The front hands are joined in anjali-mudra (gesture of devotion and compassion). The back hands hold a lotus and a ritual attribute with an openwork form. A small seated Buddha is visible on the crown, an iconographic characteristic of Avalokiteshvara.
The face is softly modeled with almond-shaped eyes, closed lips, and a serene expression. The high crown, earrings, necklace, and chest ornaments are finely crafted. Clear remnants of original fire gilding are visible over the entire surface, with natural wear and discoloration consistent with age. On the reverse, the details of the crown, hair, and jewelry are fully finished.
The underside is sealed with a metal plate and shows an even, old surface without modern traces. The sculpture is hollow cast using traditional techniques. The combination of iconography, gilding, finish, and patina indicates an authentic Buddhist devotional sculpture from the Himalayan region, presumably Nepal or Tibet.
Dimensions: height approx. 32 cm, width approx. 22 cm. Weight approximately 3 kg.
