The Buddha is depicted in deep meditation (Dhyana Mudra), seated on the naga king who spreads his seven heads like a protective shield.

The weight confirms the use of a high-quality metal alloy with a significant copper content. The back of the naga hood is decorated with extreme precision with a scale motif and a central sun wheel, which is characteristic of the refined Khmer art from the Bayon tradition.
