Seated Buddha statue, crafted from bronze, depicted with the right hand in Bhumisparsha mudra (touching the earth) and the left hand resting in the lap with the palm facing upwards. This posture refers to the moment of enlightenment and is characteristic of the Southeast Asian Buddhist statue tradition.

The face is modeled calmly and symmetrically with closed eyes, elongated earlobes, and a flame-shaped ushnisha above the finely curled hair. The surface displays a natural patina with wear, oxidation, and darkened areas consistent with age and prolonged use. Remnants of old gilding are visible in recessed areas, indicating an originally richer finish.

The statue stands on an openwork, integrally cast plinth with undulating and floral motifs. The plinth is a structural part of the statue and not a later addition. The underside displays a traditionally cast, mineral-filled interior with irregularities characteristic of older hollow bronze casting techniques rather than modern serial production. Based on style, iconography, construction, and surface, the statue can be placed within a Southeast Asian tradition, likely Thailand or an adjacent region, dating to the late 19th century. The statue is in original condition, without visible restorations. Material: Bronze Height: 47 cm Depth: 34 cm Weight: 5.3 kg
