Condition & Pricing:

This statue shows an old restoration at both ankles. Although the construction is now stable, the fracture line is visible (see detail photos). Due to this imperfection, this imposing 60 cm piece is very affordably priced.

Ideal for those looking for a large, characterful altarpiece with an authentic history, without paying the price of a museum-preserved example.

This monumental bronze statue, 60 cm tall, depicts the eleven-headed Avalokiteshvara (Ekadasamukha), the Bodhisattva of infinite compassion. The image is a beautiful example of Tibetan Buddhist iconography, where the eleven heads symbolize the ability to see the suffering of the world in all directions and to alleviate it.

Iconography & Features:

  • Eight Arms: The primary hands are in Namaskara Mudra (prayer posture), while the other arms hold various attributes (such as the wheel of the law and the lotus).
  • Eleven Heads: Stacked in five levels, topped with the head of Amitabha Buddha.
  • Material: Hollow cast bronze with a deep, warm patina.
  • Details: Richly decorated clothing and a lotus base with fine engravings.

Technical Details:

  • Height: 60 cm
  • Width: 27 cm
  • Weight: approx. 5 kg
  • Condition: Authentic antique condition. Note: restoration visible at the ankles/legs (see detail photos), which is common with statues of this size and age.

This statue is a powerful altarpiece or decorative element for collectors of Asian art and practitioners of Buddhism. A rare large example with a serene appearance.
