Expertise & Condition
Although this statue has a beautiful antique appearance with carefully applied signs of use, we date this object to the second half of the 20th century. It is a very high-quality reproduction of an 18th-century model. The manual finish, the remnants of pigment, and the sealed base plate (Vishwa Vajra) attest to craftsmanship at a level rarely seen in modern replicas.
Symbolism
Avalokiteshvara is depicted here with the Amitabha Buddha in the crown. At 1stBuddha, transparency comes first: we sell this object as a high-quality tribute to historical Buddhist art, where aesthetic quality is paramount. H 36.5 x W 24, 5.5 kg
