Estimated value: €650 – €950. Bronze Shiva Nataraja, depicted as the cosmic dancer within the ring of flames, standing on the dwarf Apasmara who symbolizes ignorance. The sculpture is thinly cast and relatively light in weight, which is consistent with Indonesian and South Asian production for domestic devotion in the 19th to early 20th century. The surface shows distinct natural oxidation with deep copper salts and uneven patina buildup, resulting from prolonged exposure to air and moisture. There are no indications of modern aging or recent interventions. The open underside and consistent casting structure confirm traditional manufacturing. The whole is technically and stylistically coherent as an authentic old religious bronze, not intended as a massive temple statue but as a devotional object. Origin Indonesia. Dating c. 19th century. Dimensions: height 31 cm, width 26 cm. Weight approximately 1.2 kg.
