Large bronze Buddha statue from Thailand, seated in bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture of enlightenment in which the earth is invoked as a witness. The statue is executed in the classic Rattanakosin style and dates from the 19th century. The posture, proportions, and flame-shaped ushnisha are characteristic of Thai temple statues from this period.

The surface displays a natural, weathered patina with distinct wear zones on the chest, arms, and legs, consistent with prolonged religious use. The modeling is fluid and balanced, without sharp or mechanical lines, indicating traditional casting techniques. The lotus base is broad and stable, with a design typical of 19th-century Thailand.

The underside is open and shows a rough internal structure with mineral deposits and aging, without traces of modern closure or recent interventions. Weighing approximately 15 kg and standing over 55 cm tall, this is a serious temple statue and not a decorative export object.
