Estimated value: €1,200 – €1,800. Fire-gilded bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara from Tibet, dating from the 18th–19th century. The bodhisattva is depicted standing on a lotus base and features multiple arms, with the central hands in añjali mudra, the prayer posture symbolizing compassion and devotion. The stacked crown structure with small figures and the slender body shape are characteristic of Tibetan-Himalayan traditions with Newar influences. The statue is hollow-cast and shows clear remnants of original fire gilding on the inside, indicating traditional mercury gilding. The surface displays natural wear and patina consistent with age and ritual use, without traces of modern restoration. Dimensions approx. H 30 x W 14 cm, weight approx. 1.4 kg.
