This antique statue of Guru Rinpoche is crafted in bronze and depicts the famous Tibetan master seated in the traditional lama posture. The statue measures approximately 16 cm high and 13 cm wide and weighs about 700 grams. Despite its compact size, the object feels sturdy and convincing, indicating solid, hand-cast bronze.
The design is rich and lively, with clear manual modeling in the face, the folds of the robe, and the attributes. Visible remnants of original gilding are present in recessed areas, while the raised parts show natural wear. This wear pattern, combined with the open base and the absence of a closing plate, is consistent with older Himalayan Tibetan bronze work.
