Estimated value: €1,800 – €2,200
Kashmirian gilded bronze Buddha in Bhumisparsha mudra. The statue displays a calm and powerful expression with closed eyes, a broad chest, and a compact, balanced body. The monk's robe is soberly and functionally modeled with soft, heavy folds, characteristic of Kashmiri and North Himalayan temple statues. Behind the head is a permanently cast halo. The surface shows natural wear and discoloration of the original gilding, consistent with age and prolonged ritual use. The statue is hollow cast and feels solid and authentic.
