This kneeling bronze Buddha is depicted in Anjali mudra, the prayer posture where the hands are brought together as a sign of reverence and devotion. The sculpture has an understated and serene appearance, with restrained proportions and a calm facial expression, suitable for traditional temple use.
The sculpture is traditionally cast in bronze and has an open base, characteristic of older Southeast Asian temple statues. The surface shows a natural, dark patina with slight wear on prominent parts, caused by prolonged ritual use. There are no visible traces of modern processing or restoration.
The style, posture, and finish suggest an origin from Burma (Myanmar) and a dating to the 18th to 19th century. Dimensions approx. 21.7 × 9 cm, weight approx. 2 kg.
