This large Japanese seated Buddha is cast in bronze and executed in a sober Kamakura style. The statue measures 51 cm high and 47 cm wide and weighs no less than 18.4 kg, which immediately underscores the massive quality and traditional casting. Due to its size and weight, this is clearly an XL temple statue and not a lightweight decorative object.

The Buddha is depicted in a meditation posture with the hands in dhyana mudra. The design is restrained and powerful, with broad shoulders, a calm facial expression, and heavy drapery.
