This pair represents the absolute top segment of late Imperial Chinese bronze art. The identification as Pixiu is confirmed by the wing iconography and claw structure.

  • Fire gilding: Authentic mercury gilding with significant thickness on the mane. Manual embossing visible under the gold layer.
  • Enamel: Traditional 'pitting' in the turquoise pigments, indicating mineral composition and authentic kiln firing.
  • Casting: Exceptional wall thickness (approx. 24 kg per unit), manufactured for sustainable exhibition in a high-quality environment.
