A special and harmonious pair of antique bronze Buddhas from the Himalayan region, both with remnants of original fire gilding still visible in the deeper lines of the face and robe. It is immediately apparent that these statues were made by hand: subtle differences between the two lend character and show that this is genuine studio work rather than modern mass production. The openwork crowns and lotus bases give the whole a calm, almost architectural appearance, making them strongly present together without becoming dominant.

The warm dark patina and soft wear on the upper parts tell the story of long-term use and touch. These are statues that were once intended for meditation and devotion, and you can still feel that same calm energy when they are placed together. Balance is created precisely as a set: two postures, two expressions, one calm aura that fits into an interior where meaningful objects take center stage.

A beautiful collector's pair for those who appreciate genuine old Buddhist art and seek authenticity, atmosphere, and a timeless appeal.
