This authentic Sino-Tibetan bronze Buddha was crafted in China with clear Tibetan and Himalayan influences and dates from the 18th–19th century. The statue is traditionally hollow-cast using the lost-wax technique and displays a natural, evenly developed patina consistent with long-term aging. The Buddha is depicted seated in bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture of Touching the Earth, an iconographic motif symbolizing enlightenment and spiritual victory.

The face is elongated and serenely modeled, with heavy eyelids, a clearly elaborated urna, and a compact curl structure in the hair, characteristics that fit within the Sino-Tibetan Buddhist statue tradition. The engraved robe and the regular lotus base indicate workshop production within the Himalayan cultural sphere, where Chinese, Tibetan, and Nepalese influences converge. The open base with original core remnants confirms the traditional construction and rules out modern fabrication. An authentic ancient religious statue, suitable for collectors of Buddhist art from the Sino-Tibetan world.
