Standing bronze Guanyin, originating from China, 19th century. The figure is depicted in a tranquil, frontal pose on a lotus base, holding a ritual attribute in her hands. Her facial expression is serene and subdued, characteristic of Guanyin as the bodhisattva of compassion and protection.
The statue is cast in a copper alloy with natural wear and evenly developed patina. The base is closed and shows signs of age consistent with traditionally cast household and temple statues from this period. The proportions, drapery, and lotus foot align with late Qing stylistic examples.
A classic Chinese devotional statue, intended as a protective and harmonizing object for the home or altar.
