Wear patterns are consistent with long-term ritual use, with higher areas more softly polished and recessed zones retaining the gold. The facial painting is original and consists of multiple old pigment layers for the eyes and lips, applied over the gold and aged along with the gilding. UV examination shows only dust reaction and excludes modern varnish layers, overpainting, or restoration. The underside is traditionally sealed, consistent with authentic Himalayan work.
