The Buddha sits in a meditation posture on a high, stepped throne with red lacquer accents and finely crafted decorative bands.

Behind the statue rises the multi-headed Muchalinda-Naga, the mythical snake king who, according to Buddhist tradition, protected the meditating Buddha from storms and negativity. As a result, a Naga Buddha symbolizes protection, inner peace, spiritual strength, and stability during difficult periods.
